Greetings to our Dillsburg Elementary Family!
My name is Mrs. Lyndsey Quintana, Principal of Dillsburg Elementary. I have been the proud principal of Dillsburg Elementary since October 2020. I have loved getting to know our amazing students, families, staff and community members as we've grown together here at Northern York County School District.
Prior to becoming principal here at DES, I earned my bachelor's degree in elementary education from Elizabethtown College. Afterwards, I started my career as a 2nd grade teacher for Shippensburg Area School District. After a few years and also earning my master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Shippensburg University, I traveled north and spent time teaching in Boston, MA and the Bronx, New York City. My career path led me to Albany, NY where I transitioned to teaching middle school (5th and 7th grade ELA) for several years. With a desire to return to Pennsylvania to pursue an administration job and close to my family, I previously served as the assistant principal of Allen Middle School for the West Shore School District for over three years before finding my way here to Dillsburg Elementary. My path has led me on many journeys, but I am so glad that it led me here.
On a bit more of a personal note, my husband, Kris, and I married in 2020 shortly after starting here at DES. He is a Coast Guard veteran and prior teacher and football coach, but is currently working in real estate and is on the school board for our home district of Northeastern School District. We reside in York Haven with our two rottweilers, Ellie and Q and our blue heeler, Blue. While we may not live in Dillsburg, we love being part of the community and getting to know all of the wonderful people who make Northern what it is!
